What to Be for Halloween

What to Be for Halloween

Admittedly, it has got to be one of the most bizarre holidays on the planet. It’s a day to dress up as…well pretty much anything, and for children to bum candy, soda, or other treats off decent, hardworking people. Even so, Halloween can be a lot of fun. Dressing up as something other than yourself does have its benefits.

You’re not a kid anymore, but you probably attend a few holiday parties. Since Halloween is just around the corner, we came up with some costume ideas for you. These ideas are designed to make women with thinning hair feel comfortable and confident for their crazy night of dress up:

Be a Princess. Cheesy, we know. But for women like us (those suffering from thinning hair), it’s sometimes difficult to remember how beautiful we are. Dressing up as a princess could help you feel like a princess again. Just make sure you maintain that feeling even after you shed your holiday costume.

Be Wonder Woman. I have rarely met a woman who doesn’t already meet this description. Most the women I know juggle jobs, grocery shopping, the challenges of thinning hair, helping loved ones, children’s sporting activities, and much, much more. Just throw on a red, white, and blue leotard and you’ve got this one covered.

Be Dolly Parton. What is the one thing most of us want? More hair, right? So a ridiculously thick, blond wig seems appropriate for this holiday. Just add a little padding to your chest and the illusion is complete.

Be a Witch. Or really anything that requires a hat. If you’re self-conscious about your thinning hair, going to a party or a bar may not be the most appealing idea in the world. But with a hat on, you can be your gorgeous self without any concern that someone is looking at your scalp. Of course, gorgeous may not be the best description of a witch, so be sure to add a wart or two.

Be a Rock Star. Okay, nothing hides thinning hair better than a whole lot of teasing. As an eighties rocker, your hair is going to be big, and it’s going to be everywhere. Adding a little color (like blue or pink) wouldn’t hurt anything either.

Be a Man. As one of my good friends said, “My thinning hair makes me feel like a man.” First of all…she’s beautiful and that was a crazy statement. But it does make for a good costume idea. Throw on a “bald cap” and be a man for the evening. Maybe you’ll come back ready to be all woman again.

We may not always like our appearance. But for this one night, you can stop worrying about your thinning hair and start thinking about the fun you’re going to have. And if you enjoy your night of being worry free, then it’s time for you to try Volluma and discover what being worry-free all the time can feel like.
